Clean out the fridge before you go grocery shopping.

The first piece of advice that I want to share with you is in the kitchen, since they say that the kitchen is the heart of the house and it has to be clean to avoid problems and stress, it is also the place where we spend most of the time when we are at home.

First of all I want to mention that I am not perfect in any of the tips that I am going to share; but I am trying to put them into practice, so that they become habits. These ideas come from my mom, grandmother, books, etc. practical things worth trying. Hopefully they will be useful to help us enjoy the art of the home a little more. Let's start:

Clean out the fridge before you go grocery shopping.

Who remembers the time when cleaning out the fridge was a whole day event? Watching my mother clean the refrigerator on a hot day was a lot of fun for me and my sisters, because we got to play with the pieces of ice that had to be removed from the freezer, literally in order for the door to close properly.

Fortunately we don't have to battle so much anymore; but if we forget to clean it often, we end up with a world of fungi and bacteria special for a good science class.

Usually we go shopping every Saturday, so every Friday I propose to clean the refrigerator and use all the things that have to be consumed so as not to waste food; this way I can have an idea of the things we have to buy.

I remember that my mom always dedicated a day to eat all the reheated foods that were in the refrigerator; Besides, it was a day when I didn't have to cook, who doesn't need a day off in the kitchen?

In addition to cleaning the refrigerator, I like to check the pantry and the freezer, so I avoid buying things I don't need yet, I would like to tell you that I make a shopping list afterwards, but that is a major league activity, I know my mother She never goes shopping without her list and I never go shopping with a list. For me, that habit is one that I will have to work hard on in the future. Many times I have made a list, but I almost never remember to take it with me. Perhaps a list on my cell phone would be more convenient for me.

This concludes our first tip, quick and simple. With a little organization we hope to save money and trips to the supermarket.

Likewise, to every man to whom God gives riches and goods, and also gives him power to eat from them, and take his part, and enjoy his work, this is a gift from God. Ecclesiastes 5:19
